Description
Shell PANOLIN S4 Gear Oil EAL 68 is a high-performance, readily biodegradable gear oil formulated with saturated synthetic esters. Available in ISO VG 68, 100 and 150 grades, it provides excellent load-carrying capacity, anti-scuffing protection and reliable performance across a wide temperature range. It is designed for industrial gears, bearings and marine propulsion systems where environmental protection is important.
Key Features & Benefits
- Readily biodegradable: More than 60% biodegradation after 28 days according to OECD 301B.
- Excellent load-carrying performance: Helps protect gears under demanding and shock-loading conditions.
- Strong anti-scuffing protection: Helps reduce wear and extend component life.
- Extended oil life: Excellent oxidative stability supports longer lubricant service intervals.
- Wide operating temperature range: High viscosity index helps maintain protection across changing temperatures.
- Excellent water separation: Supports reliable lubrication where water contamination may occur.
- Low environmental impact: Classified as an Environmentally Acceptable Lubricant (EAL).
- Reduced maintenance: Extended fluid and component life can help reduce downtime and lubricant consumption.
